Larry Bacon has over 30 years of financial experience working for Wells Fargo, Chase
Manhattan and the U.S. Export-Import Banks before starting his own investment advisory
firm in 1992. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nonprofits’
Insurance Alliance of California and President of the Carmel Valley Trail & Saddle Club.
With a strong sense of financial responsibility, Larry supports incorporation for the Town of
Carmel Valley as a way to bring local control over development projects, while allowing
growth under sensible and sustainable land use policies that respect and protect the rural
economic character of the area. Larry’s financial expertise will be invaluable on the Town
Council in providing fiscal accountability and in formulating budgets that do not lead to tax
increases but meet the community’s needs for police, public works, and planning and
building services. Involved in the lengthy process to bring incorporation to a vote, he now
welcomes the opportunity to participate in the start-up of the new Town.
