Education and Qualifications:
I am opposed to the creation of the Town of Carmel Valley – no one has presented me with a compelling argument that incorporation will benefit the area. Furthermore, this issue should not come before you without complete information i.e., an EIR that fairly anticipates the long-term impact on living conditions and costs.
My background is: MSEE-Stanford; MBA-Harvard; officer nuclear submarines; principal and CEO of various small companies; VP Finance-Congregation Beth Israel; past president-Prado Del Sol Homeowners Association; member-CV Rotary.
I am running because I have a commitment to see this area remain a unique and wonderful place to live, I have the background to help decision-making in the Council, I am beholden to no one, and I am not using this as a resume enhancer.
I will resist any proposal that I think is a self-serving expansion of government. I will fight any attempt that builds an expensive bureaucracy. I will ensure that any spending proposal has a meaningful cost-benefit justification. I will not let special interests hold sway.
